We’ve been sucking water out of the ground for a few years, and well, with ever more demand as our family grows into a luxurious standard of living, and with a bit of a drought, the pump is losing its prime often. Cavitation happens a lot sooner than I would have thought. I’m trying to see if I can stick a submersible pump in the well before Winter, which will give us a far taller usable column of water. This is one of these projects that is daunting to undertake because in involves many new concepts I don’t know, and which happen to mess with water supply. It’s incredible how any time I tackle anything new, there’s a whole world of knowledge, established practices, parts, and assumptions.
For now all I need to do it run electricity to the well to power the pump that will go in there. PVC conduit & backhoes no longer have any secrets for me.
In the bathroom where the conduit meets the soon to be replaced 12V pump which has worked it ass off for years. This will be reworked significantly.
I had to move the greenhouse away from the Bison pump to get to the casing. I’ll use the opportunity to do a little groundwork before I plop it back on.
We haven’t used the Bison pump in a while, a sign that our systems are getting easier. It’s still nice to have as a backup.
